Gary Smith joined AmeriTrust Group in 2019 as the Director of National Loss Control Services.  Prior to that he worked for York Risk Services Group as the Director of Risk Control Services.  He has over 30 years of experience in the safety and loss control profession, having worked extensively with the manufacturing industry and serving in facility and corporate safety roles.  Gary has spent several years working on the agency and brokerage side.  Gary’s areas of expertise include ergonomics, safety training, risk assessments and safety program development and implementation. He holds a master’s degree from Michigan State University and is a Certified Risk Management professional.

One (1) HR (General) recertification credit hour for PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.

One (1) PDC for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
