Strategies to De-Escalate Intense Conflict and Potentially Violent Situations
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and a charged political climate, it is possible to find ourselves, our businesses, our employees and customers in emotionally charged interactions or potentially violent situations. Though such situations can arise unexpectedly, we can train and prepare for them, in order to achieve the best possible outcome. The experts from Secure Education Consultants (SEC) will address the need that has become increasingly prevalent during recent times: the ability to reduce the intensity of a conflict or potentially violent situation.
This webinar provides instruction on how to recognize verbal and nonverbal warning signs of increased aggression, how to build a rapport, how to manage your emotional reactivity, how to communicate effectively and more so that you can handle intense situations with the priority of keeping everyone involved safe.
This program will cover:
- A discussion of security concerns specific to the pandemic
- Strategies to keep members of your organization safe and secure while maintaining safe practices
- Strategies for de-escalating potentially dangerous situations
- Practical techniques to verbally de-escalate a potentially violent confrontation
This webinar will be recorded and available on-demand shortly after the live webinar.
