With the enormous surge of dollars comes an opportunity to invest strategically and address issues and challenges. The funding has also spurred debate on state tax policy and how to restructure various funding mechanisms, including an emphasis on if and how much money to put back in the pockets of Michigan taxpayers, including businesses – from pension tax exemptions and child deductions to corporate and personal income tax rates .
